Flowing is a body of work first conceived during a summerhouse residency in the German countryside, working along the cost of the Rhine. Fusing the tradition of abstraction and minimalism with a more three-dimensional approach to painting, the works are made of a series of insertions of manipulated canvas going through the painting support. Here, canvas, once twisted, travels through the pierced painting surface in short or longer extensions with a graceful and continuous rhythm in the same way as water does. Therefore, canvas by proving itself as shapeless or adaptable as water, develops a close relationship with it.

Flowing è un corpus di opere inizialmente concepito durante una residenza estiva nella campagna tedesca, lavorando lungo il corso del Reno. Fondendo la tradizione dell'astrazione e del minimalismo con un approccio pittorico più tridimensionale, i lavori sono costituiti da una serie di inserti di tela manipolata che attraversano il supporto pittorico. Qui, la tela, una volta attorcigliata, attraversa le superfici forate dei dipinti in estensioni brevi o più lunghe con un ritmo aggraziato e continuo, proprio come fa l'acqua. Pertanto, la tela, dimostrandosi informe o adattabile come l'acqua, sviluppa una stretta relazione con essa.
